Tooth and Mouth Problems
Redness, thickening right buccal mucosa
My friend has redness and thickening in inner right side of buccal mucosa for almost 3 months. In right side, she had 3 right upper back tooth with metallic crown. Also below 2 right lower tooth also had mettalic crown and one amalgam filling at last bottom. Now dentist completely removed it some 3 weeks back. But still not able to see improvement.
Sometimes irritation and no ulcer. The redness also varies (one day looks bright and one day less red). Can you please suggest what to do?

Burning Sensation and Oral Mucosa
Hello Doctor,
I have been facing a burning sensation inside my mouth for the last 1 year. It is worse in the evening. There are white line/patch-like changes on the inner lips and oral mucosa. The area feels very sensitive and sometimes sticky. Spicy food increases irritation.
I consulted many doctors, including an oral medicine specialist, but was told it is nothing serious and may heal on its own. However, the problem is still persistent.
I tried steroid creams and other topical treatments but got no relief. B-complex did not help. After taking antioxidants like lycopene, burning increased.
Earlier I had Vitamin D deficiency, but even after correcting it, there was no improvement. Vitamin B12, Folate and Iron are normal.
I quit smoking 1 year ago (6 years history).
Please guide regarding the possible cause and proper treatment.

Persistent Oral White Lines and Burning
Hello Doctor,
I am 28 years old and I have been experiencing a persistent white line/patch-like appearance inside my mouth (inner lips and cheeks) along with mild burning and occasional tingling sensation.
There are no ulcers, no fever, and no major systemic symptoms. My vitamin D was previously low, and I have completed supplementation. Other reports are mostly normal, but the oral mucosa is not returning to normal.
Kindly advise what this could be and whether any further evaluation or treatment is needed.

Dental OPG
Based on the OPG, my dentist advised that an implant may be the preferred option. He mentioned RCT could be considered but suggested a second opinion for prognosis. I also want to know whether my capped tooth needs extraction or if it can be cleaned, treated, and securely preserved.
