Persistent Oral White Lines and Burning
Hello Doctor, I am 28 years old and I have been experiencing a persistent white line/patch-like appearance inside my mouth (inner lips and cheeks) along with mild burning and occasional tingling sensation. There are no ulcers, no fever, and no major systemic symptoms. My vitamin D was previously low, and I have completed supplementation. Other reports are mostly normal, but the oral mucosa is not returning to normal. Kindly advise what this could be and whether any further evaluation or treatment is needed. Thank you

You have a harmless thickened white area from chronic rubbing/pressure and the burning you feel is due to irritation of the sensitive tissue, which usually gets better when the irritation stops
Next Steps
1. Start vitamin B complex 2. Avoid spicy food, acidic food, alcohol 3. Check if you're biting your lips frequently or not? if you're then you should avoid doing it 4. if you have any habits like Smoking/ Chewing tobacco product then Avoid it
Health Tips
I recommend you visit a local dentist to have this area examined more closely and to get a full evaluation

Hello, Thank you for sharing the images. A persistent white patch inside the lips/cheeks with mild burning can be seen in conditions like oral lichen planus, frictional keratosis (cheek/lip biting), or occasionally a fungal infection. Since it has been persistent, it requires proper evaluation. Most such lesions are benign, but confirmation is important. Take care.
Next Steps
I would recommend a detailed assessment, including a few specific questions and close image evaluation. You can connect with me online for a guided consultation and personalized management plan.
Health Tips
No spicy food No tobacco, alcohol (smoking or chewing) Avoid very hot beverages Switch to a mild toothpaste

Persistent white patches inside the cheeks and lips with mild burning may be due to conditions like oral lichen planus, frictional keratosis, or less commonly a fungal infection. Since it has not resolved, a proper clinical examination is important. I would recommend an in-person evaluation and if needed, further tests such as scraping or biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and start appropriate treatment. Early assessment is always advisable.

There can be several reasons for this. Firstly, need to know if you have any tobacco chewing history. If not, it can be burning mouth syndrome. But first i require your history, and then can prescribe medicine accordingly
