Cardiology and blood pressure related
Hi, my father(age 63)
went through a non emergency angioplasty -stent procedure 1 and half month back and recently before 1 week he suffered through a severe allergic reaction called Anaphylaxis where his blood pressure dropped to 90/60. On this day when he was having this allergic reaction he took concor cor 2.5 other than his regular heart medicines bcz he thought the reaction happened bcz he missed to take this medicine which was prescribed from his cardiologist to start after 1 month of stent procedure. Now his bp in hospital is coming 12/90 and at home monitoring machine it is
coming as 140,150 . Can he start taking this medicine again as doctor suggested to start this with other ongoing medicine.

R Arthritis, DCM and risk of Tofacitinib
My mother has been suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy since 2017.
Recent Echo: 45%
No history of heart attack
Total Cholesterol: 230 mg/dL
LDL Cholesterol: 158.7 mg/dL (High)
HDL Cholesterol: 52.81 mg/dL (Borderline)
Hemoglobin: 11.7 g/dL
ESR: 24 mm/hr
She was diagnosed with uveitis 6 months ago and was given prednisolone eye drops by the ophthalmologist. After consulting a rheumatologist, she was prescribed Tofacitinib Jakura 5mg and Meconerv Plus for 5 weeks.
After completing the 5-week dose, she consulted the rheumatologist again, and he has now prescribed Tofacitinib for 3 more months.
Tofacitinib has high risk of cancer and other cardiovascular risks. How to avoid this ? Such a complicated health situation. The doctor says its low dose but we're terribly scared.
