Tooth and Mouth Problems
Water flosser
I used to floss my teeth with that string type. I have pain in the jaw and a tooth was suspected for this jaw pain. The tooth #47 and 47 hurts in the tooth and gum area. 47 has distal 4mm pockets.
So the dentist suggested water flosser. I haven't used that before. Is water flosser safe to use?
They also suggested deep cleaning after starting this water flosser.
Is using water flosser helps with tooth and gum pain? That tooth gum 46 hurts for brushing or even for pressing with fingers on it.
Had root canal for the same reason and no changes. Same pain for any little pressure on it. Had retreat last week and same..no relief yet.
Does water flosser help ?

Composite vs composite resin filling
I had to have two of my molars filled. The dentist said she put a composite resin filling on the first tooth. But she used only a composite filling on the second one as it was "soft."
What does this mean? Also, what is the difference between composite and composite resin fillings?

Pain in root canal retreated tooth
I have jaw pain under ear and neck(only right side) since May2020.Dentist said tooth 46 hurting for tapping and biting pressure on it. So suggested root canal. Did rct by Endo in Sept 2020.No relief.Same tapping and biting pressure on it.It hurts for any little pressure on it.Taken cbct before and after Rct. Nothing found evident.
46tooth&gum hurts for brushing on it,touching with tongue, pressing with fingers on it.Hurts sore constantly in the gum and tooth.Constant jaw pain under ear and neck.Dentist suspect this tooth is the reason for jaw and neck pain.
Went to new Endo.He said there is some dead space unfilled in distal root and asked to retreat that root. Retreated that root and he filled with medicine. He said he put calcium hydroxide.Told me I should get immediate relief.
It's been 5 days&taking ibuprofen every 6 hours. No changes in the tooth pain. I am using a very soft bristle brush. Tooth and gum hurts for brushing. It hurts if I touch with tongue. Hurts even not touched.

Deep cavity fluoride filling
I got a deep asymptomatic cavity treated at the dentist who used fluoride filling to remineralise a little bit of the Dentin decay. I have to wait for two months and if no pain develops, I have to get composite filled over the restoration.
It scares me a little that a part of the decay is still inside. Is that alright? It's been a month almost and no pain has risen so far. Also, will a different dentist agree to do the composite filling? I might be moving over to a new state next month.

General question on clinic practices
I went to a clinic for some treatment (anterior teeth fillings for inter proximal cavities). The dentist I had taken an appointment to see for treatment
redirected me to a young duty doctor whom he instructed to do the fillings for me. The senior dentist did not check on me again after the procedure.
I am quite unhappy with the fillings quality. (I can't floss between four of my restored teeth now and I have to go see the dentist again for the same).
On another note, is it alright for dentists to re-assign you to the duty doctors there even though you had specifically made an appointment with them? Are patients allowed to voice their consent regarding the same?
No offence intended, I'm just quite anxious at having to go to the dentist again as I have severe dental anxiety already. I was wondering if this is standard practice in clinics.

Wisdom Tooth Removal
After Wisdom Tooth extraction, iam suggested by doc to have cold things like icecream, cold coffee etc on 1st day. My question is do I need to drink from other side and not from the extraction side? But as told cold things will heal the extraction part? So please tell, it is confusing for me.
