As part of a routine check-up, we would like to get a chest X-ray to assess the condition of the lungs. Which view would be most appropriate for this purpose?

Why my asthma shows irreversible? Do I actually have asthma or not? Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with asthma, but my Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) shows irreversible airway obstruction. I thought asthma is usually reversible after bronchodilator (like salbutamol) use. Now I’m confused — if it’s not reversible, do I really have asthma? Or is it something else like COPD or bronchiectasis? I’m in my early 30s, and I never smoked. Can asthma ever become irreversible? What else could cause this?

I was given Foracort and Budesonide (both corticosteroids). Does using corticosteroids like these increase ABPA numbers? Because my symptoms have worsened after starting them. I wasn't prescribed antifungal Please help me understand. Thanks!

Have ABPA and was using Budesonide regularly. Recently, I suddenly stopped it because I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t know what else to do. Now I’m worried — can this make my ABPA worse? Will the fungal infection multiply or my IgE levels go higher? I had no idea stopping it suddenly could be risky. Please guide me.

I had tuberculosis (TB) in the past. Now I am being treated for Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA). I took montelukast and budesonide (6 mcg and 200 mcg) but only on and off, not regularly. My mucus has increased recently. I just learned that this condition can be dangerous. What should I do now? Recently, my doctor changed my inhaler from MDI to Synchrobreath. When I used the MDI, I noticed that it used to increase my heartbeat. But now, after switching to Synchrobreath, I don’t feel the same effect – my heartbeat stays normal. I’m a bit worried. Does this mean I am not using Synchrobreath correctly? Also, I don’t feel much improvement in my breathing either. Can anyone help me understand if this is normal or if I’m doing something wrong?

Hi doctors, I am trying to learn and understand more about ABPA (Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis). If ABPA is left untreated, will the fungus (Aspergillus) keep multiplying and increasing in number inside the lungs, or does it just cause allergic inflammation and lung damage without increasing the fungal growth? If both happen — fungus multiplies and lungs get damaged — please mention how fast this happens, if possible in terms of ABPA-specific IgE levels (ku/l) or any other useful indicator. Hello doctors, I go to a government hospital. I have ABPA (Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis), no asthma, and no cystic fibrosis. My IgE is 7000, and doctors say it means I have asthma — but I think it’s high due to ABPA only. I got ABPA after COVID. I did skin prick tests (many positives), but exposure doesn’t affect my breathing. My PFT did not improve after bronchodilator, which usually happens in asthma. 👉 Is there any test to confirm if I have asthma or not? 👉 I want clear evidence to show my doctors. If I have asthma, I’ll accept — but I want proper confirmation. Please suggest the right test for this situation.

My age 25  Male , This was my pft result before niveoli use , my hrct chest tells no abnormalities detected, I still feel chest tightness and sob during walking after 1.5 month usage . have history of asthma which was completely reversible earlier last year , but now even with ics + laba no change or very little, doctor says continue inhaler just . But I am really tensed. I am just 25 . I smoked in my college days occasionally like 7-8 pieces a year . And quit 2 years ago . Now i use beclemethasone 100 + formetorel 6 Niveoli inhaler ?? Any tips to reverse complete symptom like earlier .
