Tooth and Mouth Problems

Hi, I live in Indore, and my orthodontic treatment is ongoing. One of the brackets (I have metal braces installed) from my upper tooth (the pointed tooth) got broken. My orthodontist is not changing it; instead, he said, "Come to the clinic, and I will remove the bracket." Is this common in orthodontic treatment? Like, how can someone remove the bracket in between treatments? Dr. Rahul has 5 years of experience. I am afraid he is doing the right thing with my teeth.

What is this and what should i do ? Kindly check the picture i dropped, i have circled the problem..

I went to the dentist today as i had a cavity in my wisdom teeth. As i went he directly with LA did my tooth extraction and stitching, prior to extraction no antibiotics were prescribed for 3 days prior to extraction. But he prescribed only after extraction. Is it fine or was he supposed to give it prior?
