Late period and antibiotics

Asked for Female, 19 Years

I have been taking antibiotics for the past three weeks for various problems (first it was a bad cold and then for the other two weeks it was for an earring infection). I am half way through another dosage of antibiotics. I've noticed that my period is about a week late this cycle. Is this because of the antibiotics, and if so should I stop taking it?

A delay in periods by one week is usually not alarming unless there are more details you wish to share on this forum. Continuing the antibiotics till the ear pain and swelling subside, is recommended.
