Hello. I have reviewed your laboratory results regarding your TLC count. It is understandable to be concerned when lab values remain outside the "normal" range, but your results actually show a very positive trend. A drop from 18,000 to 11,500 indicates that the antibiotics have been effective and your body is successfully overcoming the infection. Here is a breakdown of what this means and the next steps: 1. The Recovery Phase The normal range for TLC is generally between 4,000 and 11,000. At 11,500, your count is only marginally elevated. After a significant infection where the count reached 18,000, it is physiologically normal for the white blood cell count to take a few weeks to settle back into the mid-normal range. Your body is currently in the "recovery phase." 2. Monitoring Symptoms Rather than focusing solely on the number, it is more important to monitor how you feel. Please note if you still have: Persistent fever or chills. Excessive fatigue or body aches. Any localized pain (such as in the chest or during urination). 3. Next Steps Repeat Testing: There is no immediate cause for alarm. I recommend repeating a Complete Blood Count (CBC) in 7 to 10 days. By then, the count should naturally fall within the normal limits without further antibiotics. Hydration and Rest: Continue to focus on a protein-rich diet and adequate hydration to support your immune system during this final stage of recovery. Summary Advice: If you are no longer running a fever and your general energy levels are improving, you can rest assured that your body is healing. We will simply re-verify the count in about a week to confirm it has returned to your baseline.

High TLC pehle 18,000 tha aur ab 11,500 ho gaya hai, iska matlab hai ki infection control me aa raha hai aur body recovery phase me hai. Normal TLC range around 4,000–11,000 hoti hai. Abhi aapka count thoda sa upar hai, jo infection ke baad kuch time tak reh sakta hai. Usually infection ke baad TLC ko completely normal hone me 1–3 weeks lag jaate hain. Sabse important cheez ye hai ki count dheere dheere kam ho raha ho, jo aapke case me ho raha hai. Agar abhi fever nahi hai aur symptoms improve ho rahe hain to tension ki baat nahi hai. Aap 1–2 week baad ek repeat CBC karwa lijiye taaki confirm ho jaye ki TLC normal ho raha hai. Agar dobara fever aaye, TLC phir badhne lage, ya weakness zyada ho to phir further evaluation karna padega. Filhaal ye recovery phase lag raha hai.

Its almost borderline. TLC count is reduced from 18k to 11k ,its mean infection is reduced and its settled in 2 to 3 days .if you have no symptoms then no worry.

After an infection, TLC can take time to return completely to normal. A value of 11,500 is only mildly elevated and can be part of recovery. However, taking antibiotics for 25 days is prolonged, and we should reassess rather than continue blindly. I would suggest a repeat CBC and a review of your symptoms to ensure there is no ongoing infection or other cause. You can book a consultation with me ,I can review your reports in detail and guide you further.
