Iron test related
Iron Spectrophotometry- iron study done by Dr Lal path (Blood Sample) 1.Iron-38.00 ug/dL the range report shown Actual range-65.00 - 175.00 2. Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC)-368.00 μg/dL the range shown in the report Actual Range -250 - 425 3.Transferrin Saturation-10.33 % the range report shown Actual Range-20.00 - 50.00 According to the test of iron level in blood. It seems that iron and transferrin saturation are low from the normal range but TIBC is in range. My question is this the value shown less is iron deficiency or is it excess iron collection in blood cell ? My second question is this case of anaemia or something else to worry about? Please help Thanks
