Fever in pregnancy

Asked for Male, 30 Years

My wife is 6 months pregnant. She has got fever cough and cold since last Friday. Her COVID test is negative. Typhoid is negative. CRP last week was 6.3, yesterday it came 2.8 but today again is 3.4. Doctor has advised paracetamol only but it only works for 3-4 hours and then get fever of 100.2. Please advise what else to test as our doctor is not telling anything clearly. She is becoming weak day by day with this fever. Cold and cough are better post taking budecort .5 via nebuliser.
