✓Cilacar alone may not be enough for all elderly patients; sometimes two medicines are needed to keep BP steady.
✓If BP consistently remains around 150/80, add a second antihypertensive drug after reviewing kidney function.
Next Steps
✓CBC, kidney function tests (creatinine, eGFR), electrolytes , to rule out secondary causes or complications of BP.

Blood pressure should be checked atleast 2 times a day for 3 to 4 days, time it when she is relaxed.
150/82 is not very high for her age.
Decrease salt intake to less than 5 mg/day.
Daily exercise for atleast 20 to 25 mins a day.
For now continue Cilacar T and monitor the BP.
Hello. Mild fluctuations in BP are acceptable. Also frequent change of medicines is not advisable. Please continue with Cilacar T and keep BP record. We can decide for further course of action after a month or so
Keep a record of the blood pressure readings and ideally it is not a good idea to keep switching tablets. Please ask the patient to continue with Cilacar T.
All the best.
