Since your mother's b.p is high,it is better to take Telmipil Am which is a combination of Telmisartan(40mg)-Angiotensin rececptor blocker and Amlodipine(5mg)-Calcium channel blocker..This combination work together to lower blood pressure effectively..
Next Steps
Regularly check blood pressure and try to keep it in control..
Before deciding which medicine to take for such a high blood pressure, kindly stick to a particular doctor.since for hypertension management regular visits are necessary for adequate control and tracking of BP.
Regarding, which medicine to take at such a high BP scientifically according to guidelines you should start off with the Combination medicine Telmisartan/Amlodipine . Review with the doctor
Firstly stick to a particular doctor.
Both medications are used for hypertension but cilacar 10 also used for heart related chest pain, stroke etc.
But i would recommend Telmipil AM which is a combination of Telmisartan 40mg and Amlodipine 5mg and Telmisartan is the first line medication for Hypertension and also since the BP is 180/100, better to take Telmipil AM.
Apart from that regularly monitor blood pressure in the morning and evening time and write it down in a paper as it would help you to understand whether the medication is effectively lowering the blood pressure or not.
Regular walking for 30 minutes
Regularise sleep for 6 hours
Reduce stress or tension if any
No extra salt
Blood pressure monitoring
Fat free diet
Avoid oily spicy smoked and deep fried food
Avoid Chilles Papad Pickles etc
Plenty of fruits and green leafy vegetables
