What supplements should I take for these
I got a blood test done and I am deficient in Vitamin B12(179 pg/ml), B9 (4.09 ng/ml), Zinc (39.56 Âug/dL). I am also low in Total Iron Binding Capacity (220.8 Âug/dL). My RBC count and Hemoglobin are also borderline low. Also should Zinc and Iron supplements be spaced apart?

Your reports show multiple deficiencies (Vitamin B12, folate, zinc) along with borderline low hemoglobin, which usually need a combined and well-timed correction plan, not just random supplements. Yes, iron and zinc should ideally be spaced apart for better absorption, and B12/folate also need proper form and dosage based on your levels and symptoms. More importantly, the root cause (diet, absorption, gut health, lifestyle) needs to be addressed to prevent this from recurring. I usually design a structured plan covering supplements + diet + timing based on individual reports. You can connect with me if you’d like a personalized plan.

The patient has combination of vitamin B12 + anaemia- so treatment needs be well-timed and coordinated, otherwise absorption gets affected Low Hb + RBC -Anaemia Low / abnormal TIBC - suggest iron metabolism anaemia B12 deficiency- can cause megaliblastic anaemia Iron and zinc should spaced Yes Iron and zinc compete for absorption in intestine Taking together-reduce effectiveness of both Keep 2-3 hours gap Ideal supplements schedule Iron supplements ( Morning empty stomach) Take with lemon water Avoid with - tea , coffee, calcium, milk Evening -after food Zinc Bedtime- vitamin B12 nerokind or methyl cobalamin Add in diet : Non veg : chicken, liver, meat, egg Veg : beet root , pomegranate, jaggery, spinach , dates Combine with vitamin C foods ( lemon , amla ) For RBC Folate foods like green leafy, legumes
