I have been feeling very low for the past 2 days. My arms and legs feel heavy and painful. I feel cold like I have a fever, and I feel weak, but there is no fever on the thermometer. I have checked the thermometer properly. I also got blood tests done from two different labs, and everything came back normal. Now I am not able to understand what to do. Even neck arms everything has bit pain. Idk if its viral or what
Kindly help please

Your symptoms:
• Feeling feverish but thermometer normal
• Heavy, painful arms and legs
• Neck pain
• General weakness
• Normal blood tests (from 2 labs)
This pattern most commonly suggests one of the following:
✔ Early Viral Illness
In many viral infections:
• Body pain starts 1–2 days before fever
• Fever may be mild or absent
• Blood tests can remain normal early
✔ Post-viral / Mild inflammatory response
Sometimes the immune system reacts without high fever.
✔ Stress / Anxiety-induced body symptoms
When someone is stressed or worried, it can cause:
• Heavy limb sensation
• Muscle tightness
• Feeling cold without fever
• Neck stiffness
✔ Vitamin D or B12 deficiency
Can cause:
• Diffuse body ache
• Limb heaviness
• Fatigue
(Especially if chronic)
The reassuring part:
Normal labs from two places → serious infection or dangerous illness is unlikely.
Next Steps
For the next 48 hours:
• Rest properly
• Take paracetamol for body pain
• Drink 2.5–3 liters of fluids
• Light diet
• Proper sleep
If symptoms persist beyond 3–4 days, consider checking:
• Vitamin D
• Vitamin B12
• Thyroid profile
If you develop:
• High fever
• Severe headache
• Rash
• Vomiting
• Breathlessness
→ Seek medical evaluation.
But right now, this sounds like either a mild viral syndrome or stress-related somatic symptoms.
Health Tips
• Feeling “feverish” without fever is common in viral fatigue and anxiety.
• Muscle pain in neck and limbs often comes from tension.
• Avoid repeatedly checking temperature — it increases anxiety.
• Gentle stretching and warm bath can help.
• Deep breathing exercises reduce body heaviness caused by stress.
Since your blood tests are normal, this is very unlikely to be something serious.
If symptoms continue beyond 5 days or worsen, we can review your reports in detail and plan targeted evaluation.
If you’d like, you can share your lab values and I’ll interpret them carefully for you.
Dear Patient,
Your symptoms of body heaviness pain in arms and legs feeling feverish without actual fever weakness and neck discomfort for the last 2 days are most commonly seen with early viral infection post viral fatigue or stress related body response. It is also possible to feel feverish even when temperature is normal due to body inflammation anxiety poor sleep or muscle strain. Since your blood tests are normal this is reassuring and suggests there is no serious underlying illness at present.
What you should do
Take adequate rest and sleep at least 7 to 8 hours
Drink plenty of fluids warm water soups coconut water
Take light nutritious food with fruits and protein
Paracetamol can be taken for body pain if required
Gentle stretching and warm shower may help muscle heaviness
Check temperature once or twice daily only not repeatedly
Usually such symptoms improve within 3 to 5 days. If this is viral or fatigue related it will settle on its own.
