Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D low from years
Hi, I got my blood test results today and my vitamin B12 is 180pg/ml and vitamin D is 27.3 ng/ml. So what brand injection and what dosage should I be taking now? Thank you.

Your vitamin B12 level of 180 pg/mL is low/deficient (most labs consider
Next Steps
1. Consult your doctor (general physician or endocrinologist) within the next few days to confirm the cause and get a prescription — do not start injections without a doctor’s advice (they will check for absorption issues or other causes). 2. Doctor will likely prescribe: • Vitamin B12 injection (for faster correction at 180 pg/mL) • Vitamin D oral (injections rarely needed at 27.3 ng/mL unless severe symptoms or malabsorption)
Health Tips
Vitamin B12 – recommended injections in India • Best & most commonly prescribed: Methylcobalamin 1000 mcg (Methylcobalamin is active form, better tolerated than cyanocobalamin)
Popular brands: • Methylcobal 1000 mcg (Neon Labs / Intas) • Mecobal 1000 mcg (Torrent) • Nurokind OD Injection (Mankind) • Neurobion Forte Injection (also contains B1, B6 — good if nerve symptoms) • Usual dosage schedule for deficiency (doctor confirms): • 1000 mcg intramuscular (IM) injection once daily or alternate days × 5–10 doses (loading phase) • Then once weekly × 4–8 weeks • Then once monthly for maintenance (lifelong if diet is low in B12) Vitamin D – oral is usually enough • At 27.3 ng/mL → no injection needed • Common prescription: 60,000 IU cholecalciferol once weekly × 8 weeks (brands: D-Rise, Uprise-D3, Calcirol, Lumia, Arachitol) • Then 2000 IU daily maintenance (or 60,000 IU monthly) • Take with fatty meal (milk/curd/eggs) for best absorption You’re doing the right thing by checking early — both deficiencies are very treatable, and most people feel significantly more energetic in 1–2 months. For a detailed, personalized plan (exact dose schedule, best brands in your city, diet tips to support recovery, and when to retest), please book an online consultation with me — I’ll review your full history/symptoms and give you clear, step-by-step guidance so you feel better quickly and safely. Looking forward to helping you regain your energy — book now and let’s fix this together

Your B12 (180) is low and Vit D (27.3) is borderline. Both can cause fatigue, body pain, headaches and low energy. In most cases B12 injections + oral vitamin D help, but exact dosing depends on symptoms and cause of deficiency, so it’s better not to self-start brands blindly.
Next Steps
You’ll likely need B12 injections weekly initially, plus vitamin D supplementation. Please consult once with your reports so correct dose and duration can be planned properly — otherwise levels often drop again.
Health Tips
Avoid random injections without guidance. Also check Hb if not done. If you’d like, you can book a quick consult — takes just a few minutes and avoids over or under treatment.
