I am 34, I feel tired and fatigued, probably due to work stress etc. I have not been working out much and I think I am not drinking enough water
I took a blood test recently and my vitamin B levels are at 229 and my vitamin D is 12
I was told that these are very low. Should I take supplements?
Other markers are looking within the range

A Vit D level of 12 is a clear deficiency and can absolutely cause fatigue, low mood, muscle weakness, and low energy.
At 229, you're in the borderline range for B12. Some people feel symptoms at this level like fatigue, brain fog, tingling in hands/feet, low mood and weakness.
Next Steps
You should take Vitamin D supplementation.
Typical treatment (confirm with your doctor):
60,000 IU once weekly for 6-8 weeks then
1,000-2,000 IU daily maintenance
Also:
15-20 minutes of sunlight exposure (arms/legs exposed).
Take Vitamin D with a fatty meal for better absorption.
It would be reasonable to supplement B12.
Common options:
Oral methylcobalamin 1000 mcg daily OR
If symptomatic, some doctors give B12 injections.
Recheck in 8–12 weeks.
Your B12 levels are low . Vit D3 levels are extreamly low.. both are easily treatable with medicines or inections. This will relieve your fatigue to a great extent. Multivitamins should b taklen along with injections.
Next Steps
few other blood tests should be done for full treatment..kindly consult
Kindly consult for proper evaluation and treatment , you also need to get thyroid function tests , Hb after thorough examination

Hello,
Yes, your Vitamin D (12) is low and needs treatment.
Vitamin B (229) is borderline low. Both can contribute to fatigue.
What you can do:
• Start Vitamin D3 60,000 IU once weekly for 6–8 weeks (under guidance)
• Take Vitamin B12 supplement daily
• Get 20–30 mins sunlight
• Improve diet (eggs, dairy, green vegetables)
• Stay hydrated and exercise lightly
Since fatigue can also have other causes like stress, sleep issues, or thyroid problems, proper review is important.
Based on your symptoms, this may require proper clinical assessment and prescription. You may book an online consultation with me for detailed evaluation and personalised treatment plan.
