I am facing hair loss and new hair is not even growing for last 7 -8 yrs and I am feeling weak all the time. From last 2 yrs I have taken iron vitamins medicines as recommended by dr. But now I have stopped now again I am facing same issues what r the test would u recommend me to take and which dr I prefer for diagnostic.

Greetings. I am sorry you are going through this unpleasant experience. This long term complaints with hairloss needs proper evaluation. Not just vitamin deficiency can cause hairloss. There are many more reason to it. I need to examine the area and pattern of hairloss to comment more on this.

Take high protein diet, zinc supplements,  use selsun green shampoo twice a week for hair wash. Massage hair with some  lukewarm natural hair oil at least once in a week or 10 days. Stay stress free. Get thyroid function tests, hemoglobin done  and share results.

Hair fall with weakness for years can be due to iron deficiency, low Vitamin D/B12, thyroid issues, PCOS/hormonal imbalance, stress, poor nutrition or sometimes genetic causes. Since symptoms returned after stopping iron, deficiency may still be present. You should consult a dermatologist first (for hair fall evaluation) and also a physician/gynecologist if periods are irregular or weakness is significant. Useful tests: * CBC * Serum ferritin & iron profile * Vitamin D * Vitamin B12 * TSH (thyroid) * HbA1c/sugar * If periods irregular/acne/hair growth: PCOS hormone profile Do not restart supplements blindly without tests, because treatment depends on the exact deficiency/cause.
