Suffering from high blood pressure
My father ged 65 years having blood pressure from last 5 year. When we detected his bp for first time at that time his bp was 180/110. Then we consulted with doctor then he prescribed telma 40. Today when we checked his bp than his bp was 150/ 80. He is not having symptoms. He is working normaly. And now he us taking telma 40. Please guide us. I will be very thankfull 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Keep monitoring his blood pressure for a few days.If it remains in the same range he may need, additional medicine along with telmisartan 40 mg.

You have to go for blood pressure monitoring for 5 days morning and evening (while patient being on telma 40) .....after that a mean will be calculated and accordingly if the blood pressure is within normal limits for his age no need to change medication and if the mean is on the higher side according medications(treatment ) will be given Life style modification are important like low salt diet
