Your symptoms of vomiting, stomach pain, mild fever (99.2°F), and loose motions after eating outside food most likely suggest acute food poisoning or acute gastroenteritis, usually caused by contaminated food or water.
This condition is commonly due to bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella, or Staphylococcus toxins, and in most cases it is self-limiting and improves within 2–3 days with proper hydration and supportive treatment.
The main concern in such cases is dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhea, so treatment focuses mainly on fluids and symptomatic relief.
Next Steps
You can start the following supportive treatment:
• ORS solution – sip frequently to prevent dehydration
• Ondansetron tablet for vomiting (if vomiting is frequent)
• Paracetamol for fever and body ache
• Racecadotril if loose motions are frequent
• Lactobacillus probiotic capsules to restore gut flora
Consult a doctor urgently if:
• Vomiting persists beyond 24 hours
• Blood in stool appears
• Severe dehydration (very less urine, dizziness) occurs
• Fever goes above 101°F
Health Tips
• Take small frequent sips of ORS, coconut water, or clear soups.
• Eat light foods like khichdi, curd rice, banana, toast once vomiting settles.
• Avoid oily, spicy food, milk products, and outside food for 2–3 days.
• Rest adequately as the body is fighting the infection.

• Eating light food such as rice, banana, or curd
If vomiting or diarrhea continues, medical evaluation may be required.
Since treatment depends on severity and hydration status, a detailed review would be helpful. You may book an online consultation for proper evaluation and personalized treatment guidance.
