Hi — thank you for describing your symptoms clearly. Let’s go step by step to understand what’s happening and when you should be concerned Your description Continuous pain around the navel area (mid-abdomen) for 2 days. No motion urge or loose stools. Currently on period day 4. Pain is steady, not cramp-like. Most likely causes Based on your description, here are the common and safe possibilities: 1. Menstrual-related intestinal spasm: During periods, hormonal changes (especially prostaglandins) can cause intestinal cramping and bloating — leading to pain near the navel. This can occur even after the heavy flow has reduced. 2. Gastritis or mild acid irritation: If you’ve taken painkillers (like Meftal, Ibuprofen, or Paracetamol) during menses, they can irritate the stomach lining and cause pain in the upper/mid abdomen. 3. Gas or bloating: During periods, digestion slows down and mild constipation or gas buildup can cause mid-abdominal tightness. 4. Less likely but to keep in mind: Appendicitis: Pain would shift to right lower side and worsen with movement. Urinary infection: Would cause burning urination or lower abdominal heaviness. From your history, the pain sounds benign — period- or digestion-related rather than surgical or serious. What you can do now 1. Tab Drotaverine 80 mg (Drotin) – 1 tablet twice daily for pain/spasm. 2. Tab Pantoprazole 40 mg – once daily before breakfast for 3–5 days (if you’ve used painkillers recently). 3. Syrup Gelusil / Digene – 2 tsp after meals for gas/bloating. 4. Drink warm water, avoid tea/coffee for 1–2 days. 5. Light, non-oily diet — soups, khichdi, curd rice, fruits. 6. Gentle abdominal massage with warm water bottle helps relax cramps. See a doctor immediately if: Pain shifts to one side (especially right lower abdomen). You develop vomiting, fever, or can’t eat. Pain becomes severe or throbbing. If not, this pain should ease in 1–2 days with the above steps. Reassurance This kind of mid-abdominal pain during or right after periods is very common and not dangerous. It’s due to hormonal and digestive overlap, and responds well to mild medicines and rest. If you’d like, I can go through your exact period pattern, diet, and pain history and prepare a short plan — including what to take next cycle to prevent this pain completely. You can message me directly on WhatsApp at nine three two six zero two zero five three six — send me a short note about your flow pattern, pain location, and any medicines you took. I’ll help you with a simple, safe plan to stay pain-free in your next cycles.

Given a short duration of pain and ongoing menstrual flow this could be probably due to that only. As your pain is near the navel area only that is suggestive of Midgut associated pain that could be manifestation of your Genitourinary system. If there is any associated symptoms of burning sensation in urine or pain migrating towards any side in lower abdomen or if it is recurrent type. You should book a consult. Feel free to discuss and plan further.
Next Steps
Book consult if any associated mention symptoms are present.
