Severe Cold,throat pain.

When ever i get cold,fever or any medical problm my uncle used to say me to takein azthromycine500 and dollo650 without consultant is there any side effect due to intake of these tablets? and what is the side effect?

Hello Azithromycin and Dolo 650 are very safe tablets. But the regular cold that you get does not require antibiotics 99 % of times. In discriminate use of antibiotics like azithromycin will perpetuate antibiotic resistance among bacteria. So refrain from using azithromycin for simple cold. We can take up to 3 g of paracetamol a day with out any problems. I.e. Upto 4 times a day. But more dosage or sometimes even lesser dosage in chronic alcoholics will produce liver damage. I hope I have addressed your concerns.
