The best course will be to consult a General Physician. If the fever lasts for 3 days or more, then a few investigations may also be required.  But that is decided during examination of the patient.

Your symptoms suggest that you are having upper respiratory tract infection and since you are already taking medications you need some antibiotics also for controlling infection
Next Steps
-start tab cefixime twice a day for 5 days -tab omeprazole before food twice a day for five days -continue paracetamol and Levocetrizine -salt water goggling -Ensure proper hydration If symptoms persist beyond five days, or if you developed any additional symptoms, kindly visit nearby doctor and take blood investigations which includes CBC,ESR,CRP,chest xray

Hello Sir, I think you really dont need to worry if its has been just 2-3 days. I would say you stay with your medications for 1-2 days more and you will be completely fine. But if even after taking the medication for past 3 days your symptoms are not decreasing on a scale as it was 2 days before, then I think you need to consider for a consultation.

It can be a common flu and it takes a normal 5-7 days to resolve so I'll advise you to continue medicine for next 3 days  and if the fever goes above 101 with chills coughing with mucus do consult the doctor

This looks like a viral cold or flu. What you can do: • Continue paracetamol for fever (if temp >100°F) • Continue levocetirizine if running nose • Take steam inhalation 2–3 times daily • Drink plenty of fluids • Rest properly No antibiotic is needed unless symptoms worsen. See a doctor if: • Fever lasts more than 3–4 days • Fever goes above 102°F • Severe throat pain or ear pain • Breathlessness or chest pain Most viral colds improve in 4–5 days. Based on your symptoms, this may require proper clinical assessment and prescription. You may book an online consultation with me for detailed evaluation and personalised treatment plan.

At 35 years, mild fever + cold symptoms + chills for 2 days is most commonly due to: • Viral upper respiratory infection (common cold) • Seasonal flu • Early viral syndrome Since you’re already taking: • Paracetamol (for fever) • Levocetirizine (for allergy/runny nose) This is appropriate initial symptomatic treatment. If fever is mild and symptoms are improving, this is likely a self-limiting viral infection. Chills can happen with even low-grade viral fever and are not automatically serious.
Next Steps
Continue: ✔ Paracetamol 500–650 mg every 6–8 hours if fever >100°F ✔ Levocetirizine once daily (preferably at night) ✔ Steam inhalation 2–3 times daily ✔ Warm fluids Monitor: • Temperature twice daily • Any breathlessness • Severe throat pain • Persistent high fever (>3–4 days) Seek medical review if: • Fever persists beyond 3–4 days • Yellow/green thick sputum develops • Severe body pain • Breathlessness • Oxygen saturation
Health Tips
✔ Adequate hydration (3–4 liters/day) ✔ Proper rest (important for recovery) ✔ Avoid cold drinks ✔ Light, warm diet ✔ Avoid overexertion Most viral colds improve within 5–7 days. If you share your exact temperature range and whether you have cough or throat pain, I can guide whether this is simple viral or needs further testing. Booking an online consultation would allow proper symptom monitoring and help prevent unnecessary antibiotics.

Dear Patient, Your symptoms are suggestive of an acute viral upper respiratory tract infection. Mild fever, chills, and cold symptoms are commonly self-limiting and usually improve within 3–5 days. Advice: • Continue Paracetamol 500–650 mg as needed for fever (maximum 3–4 times daily) • Continue Levocetirizine once daily for symptomatic relief • Maintain adequate hydration • Take steam inhalation 2–3 times daily • Warm saline gargles if throat discomfort develops • Adequate rest Most viral infections resolve with supportive care. For detailed consultation and personalized treatment plan, kindly text me over Practo for full advice and management.
