Safety of covid vaccines in diabetes
My father has diabetes and has high sugar levels. His hba1c was 11. He takes tablet for diabetes but does not take insulin. Is it safe for him to get the covid vaccines (when his diabetes is not controlled)? Or should he get an insulin shot first and then get vaccine? Also, he is very much hesitant to take insulin so it will take a lot of time to control his diabetes via tablets. And we can not weight that long to get him vaccinated. I am very much confused, please give me a logical answer so that I can get my father vaccinate as covid cases are rising sharply in my city.

Ideally to control sugars need to take insulin control ans take vaccine. But current situation vaccine is very important so need to get vaccinated immediately. For sugars just one shot of insulin won’t help need to take it regularly to get sugars controlled.
