It appears that the pain you're experiencing in your ribs might be due to muscle strain from excessive coughing. This is fairly common after a cold or cough, especially when the coughing persists for a long period. Sometimes, it could also indicate inflammation in the muscles or soft tissues around the ribs.
However, to rule out any other possible causes, such as a rib fracture or any respiratory issue, I would recommend getting a chest X-ray done. In the meantime, you can take a pain-relieving medication, like a muscle relaxant, to alleviate the discomfort. Warm compresses may also help reduce the pain.
For a more thorough evaluation and a personalized treatment plan, I suggest scheduling a consultation with me. You can reach out via WhatsApp at eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two for further discussion.
