Based on your symptoms and the normal Holter, ECG, and cardiology evaluation, this does not suggest slow atrial fibrillation or any dangerous rhythm disorder. • A brief pulse drop when lying down (to ~50 bpm) is commonly due to increased vagal tone and is physiological • The “pause” or “butterfly” sensation is most consistent with benign premature beats (PACs/PVCs) • The sudden rise to 140 bpm occurred after panic, which strongly points to anxiety-induced sinus tachycardia • Slow AF is persistent, irregular, and does not normalize quickly with posture, and it would almost certainly appear on Holter Overall, this pattern fits a benign heart rhythm + anxiety cycle, not a structural or electrical heart disease.
Next Steps
1. Do not label this as AF • Your investigations already rule that out 2. Review Concor (bisoprolol) dose with your doctor • It lowers heart rate and may contribute to resting bradycardia • Do not stop suddenly without medical advice 3. Address anxiety as a primary trigger • Consider psychological support or structured anxiety management • If needed, short-term anxiolytic or SSRI therapy can help reset the cycle 4. Follow up only if red flags appear • Fainting • Persistent irregular pulse for hours • Severe breathlessness or chest pain
Health Tips
• Stop frequent pulse checking — it reinforces panic • Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and dehydration • Practice slow breathing (4-6 breaths/min) during episodes • Adequate sleep reduces vagal and ectopic triggers • Reassure yourself: normal Holter = safe heart • Premature beats feel dramatic but are harmless in a normal heart Your symptoms are real, but the cause is functional and reversible, not dangerous. Once anxiety is controlled, these sensations usually fade significantly. Stop concor and share, why you were taking it?Concor reduces heart rate. Please get a thyroid profile done and consult a cardiologist to get echo done and share results.
