My son is 12 years old. He has had a cold for almost 2 months now, and no medication has helped. We consulted a doctor a day ago and were prescribed yet another course of antibiotics, but today, he has added allergies cough also. His nose is constantly blocked, and in the morning, he sneezes as he wakes up. Please suggest what can be done. Again, we have tried all sorts of medication. Nothing works

Your son has experienced a persistent cold with blocked nose, morning sneezing, and an allergy‑related cough for almost two months, despite several treatments. In light of these ongoing symptoms, consider the following actions:
Allergy Testing: An allergist can help identify triggers such as dust mites, pollen, or pet dander.
ENT or Pulmonology Consultation: These specialists can evaluate for conditions like chronic sinusitis, protracted bacterial bronchitis, or even asthma.
