Cough and cold medicine
Please suggest OTC medicines for a breast feeding mom of 32 years with a 6 month old infant. Symptoms are dry cough, slightly feverish (99.5-100), running nose and muscle fatigue for last 24 hours. Had Dolo 650 twice daily still no help. Thank you!

Please consult a General Physician in your area for a physical examination and further management. Breastfeeding moms should not take any medicine without a proper consultation.

Looks like mild viral cold. You can take paracetamol (Dolo 650) for fever, safe in breastfeeding. For cough/cold: steam inhalation, warm fluids, saline nasal drops. Avoid strong cough syrups without doctor advice. If fever >2–3 days or worsening, consult doctor.
