Possible muscle pains but do get an ECG done. Simple painkillers like paracetamol along with topical ones like ibuprofen should be adequate. All the best. J G S R clinic

Left arm–back pain with mild chest discomfort can happen from multiple non-heart causes, especially in women. Since your symptoms started only since yesterday, and worsen when lying on the left side, the most likely causes are: 1. Muscular strain / shoulder–scapular muscle spasm This happens due to wrong sleeping posture, lifting something, long mobile use, or stress. It can cause: • Pain in upper back • Pain radiating to left arm • Discomfort when lying on that side This is the most common cause. 2. Gastric acidity / reflux (very common in females) Acid reflux can cause: • Chest discomfort • Pain going to back or left side • Uneasiness when lying down 3. Cervical nerve irritation (neck-related) If the neck muscle/nerve is irritated, pain can travel down the shoulder and arm. These conditions are not dangerous and usually improve with proper care.
Next Steps
When do we worry about heart-related pain? Heart pain typically: • Is heavy or tight, not sharp • Comes with sweating, nausea, breathlessness • Is not dependent on sleeping position • Lasts more than 20–30 minutes continuously Since none of this is mentioned, the chance of heart disease is very low, especially at age 34 unless you have diabetes, high BP, smoking, or strong family history. But we do not ignore symptoms — we treat carefully AND stay safe. What You Can Do Now (Safe Treatment) 1. For muscle inflammation • Dolo 650 or Aceclofenac → Once or twice daily after food • Apply Volini / Dynapar gel over left shoulder–upper back • Hot water bag for 10–15 minutes, twice daily 2. For acidity-related chest discomfort • Pantoprazole 40 mg (Pan 40) → Empty stomach in morning • Avoid spicy food, coffee, and heavy meals tonight 3. Gentle stretching Move your neck slowly side-to-side and roll shoulders backward. Expected Improvement • Muscle strain → improves in 24–48 hours • Gastric discomfort → improves in 1–2 days • Nerve-related pain → improves in 3–5 days
Health Tips
When to See a Doctor Urgently If you develop: • Increasing chest heaviness • Sweating • Breathlessness • Pain that gets worse with walking • Left arm numbness/weakness Then get an ECG done immediately.
