3 weeks back I barely remember that i was licking my buccal mucosa and some whitish skin came out, time passed, on 2nd last week, i observed a dark and slightly bleedy patch on my bm, i consulted and applied kenacort for 2 weeks, then since a week i have stopped using it. Pigmentation reduced. I checked with local dentist he said it's physiological pigmentation. M okay with it, but now problem is redness is forming around it and when i lick that it feels rough/patchy/woundy. I have upper wisdom tooth coming up in that side which will be extracted within next 2 week, is that causing it? But if that's causing trauma then why the area beside lips is getting red? Please help.

Looks like a cheek bite to me. Might have happened during eating food. Not a cheek bite habit since it happened for the first time. Third molar extraction might help. Also get the edges of your teeth on this side examined by a dentist. Might be due to sharp edges when you bite food. Your doctor will smoothen the edges out. Any of these two possibilities.
Next Steps
Consult a dentist.
Health Tips
Be cautious when you eat food. Bite slow till it is resolved.
Hi ,
U probably have a habit of habitual cheek bite or the edge of ur teeth is rubbing against ur buccal mucosa. So thats what u r seeing , when it is healing it appears slightly rough n pinkish and when healed its like a keratotic patch and is blackish. Dont try to bite or chew it . It vl heal. Its expected to get better after the wisdom tooth extraction . However in sm cases the edges of all the teeth on one side rub against buccal mucosa and so this happens and thats y u see its beside the lips too.
The deciduous stump should be removed too.
The patch might be due to the cheek bite. Check with your dentist for the wisdom tooth. also the second last tooth appears carious. Do check with your dentist for that. And there is a retained root of deciduous tooth on the palatal side of your second premolar. Do get it extracted.
