Injury due to abrasion
I got an injury due to abrasion on my left foot about 10 days ago. First 2 days I had normal pain and blood started clotting over the wound. On the 3rd day I washed the wound while bathing and applied coconut oil over it. 4th day applied Merbromin and betadine and started taking antibiotic Augmentin 625. After this my foot started swelling. I consulted a doctor then who suggested applying Soframycin over the wound. This resulted in formation of dry layer of soframycin over my wound with pus underneath. The doctor removed that layer and cleaned this pus. I am currently taking antibiotic Vizylac and a probiotic as well. The wound is healing slowly but the swelling is not healing since 4th day. It becomes less sometimes but mostly my foot is swollen. I experience pain when I get up from bed or when I walk. Is there anything that I can do to cure this swelling? Also I would like to know whether my wound got worse because of water? Did pus form because soframycin didn't suit my skin?
