Hi, What you are experiencing is quite explainable. You were prescribed S-Vocita (escitalopram) 10 mg for anxiety/depression and Lonazep (clonazepam) 0.25 mg short-term to help with sleep. Your sleep improved quickly because Lonazep works immediately, but S-Vocita does NOT work immediately+ it usually takes 2+4 weeks to start improving mood and anxiety. Since you stopped the medicines after only 4 days, the underlying anxiety/depression was never treated, which is why after about 10- 15 days you now feel worse, low mood, and loss of interest. This is not a dangerous reaction-it is due to incomplete treatment.
Next Steps
• Do not self-restart or stop medicines randomly • Re-consult your psychiatrist and restart treatment under guidance • Usually: S-Vocita needs to be continued daily for at least 6–8 weeks to show benefit Lonazep is only short-term, not a long-term solution • Counselling/CBT is strongly recommended along with medication, especially for insomnia and anxiety • Follow up regularly to adjust dose if needed
Health Tips
Antidepressants do not work like sleeping pills. Stopping them early often leads to return or worsening of symptoms. Do not expect happiness in a few days- gradual improvement is normal. Seek urgent help if you develop suicidal thoughts or severe worsening. First of all I suggest not to adjust duration of treatment on your own Every person is specific in terms of response to Medication as per genotype Sleep disturbances get relieved in few days, but medication should not be stopped abruptly it gives rise to symptoms that you mentioned * Medications are gradually tapered and stopped as per individual's response & remaining symptoms * You must consult your doctor & discuss with your doctor, medications plus relaxation exercise plus sleep hygiene should be followed

Hi What you’re going through is mainly an anxiety–sleep disruption cycle. When sleep improved briefly, your mind felt relief, but the core anxiety was never processed. After a few days, the nervous system slipped back into hyper-arousal, which shows up as low mood, lack of interest, heaviness, and emotional numbness. This does not mean something is permanently wrong with you. It means your system is still stuck in survival mode. The key right now is counselling, not over-monitoring symptoms. Therapy helps you calm the nervous system, stop overthinking about sleep and mood, and rebuild a sense of emotional safety so sleep stabilizes naturally. When anxiety settles, interest and emotional balance return on their own. Many people recover fully once they stop fighting symptoms and learn regulation skills. You don’t need to handle this alone or keep guessing what’s wrong. Take therapy. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.

Hello, the Lonazep was a bandaid to a bleeding deep cut. It made you feel better initially, but did not heal the cut. A continuous course (as prescribed) of S Vocita would be needed to fix the underlying issue. Please see a psychiatrist.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist.
Health Tips
Do not abruptly stop Psychiatric medicines unless you are under guidance and vigilance of a psychiatrist.

Hi, your symptoms- insomnia can be primary - which happens without understandable causes or secondary - when it happens as part of another psychiatric condition like anxiety or depression. Your psychiatrist has started you on treatment for the same- and medicines like Escitalopram ( S-Vocita) need to be continued for some time for you to feel the change. As for clonazepam, it rapidly relieves sleep disturbance and anxiety symptoms but is given for a shorter time- as in your case, for 20 days.
Next Steps
You can restart your medication. If you have any side-effects due to which you discontinued the first time, please do consult a psychiatrist.
Health Tips
If you are having second thoughts about the medicines , or find your symptoms very distressing please consult a psychiatrist immediately.
