How to cure neck pain back side

What are the causes of pain in back side of neck? I am 43 year old house wife. As the day passes I get the pain in back of neck which increases by evening? What investigations should be done to find the cause of this pain? Can it be because of hypertension too?

hi.. pain in back of neck could have the following reasons - tension headache - any sprains - migraine - cervical spondylosis would advise u to meet an orthopaedician who will clearly examine u and after performing necessary blood tests, scan will arrive at a underlying cause for the neck pain.
