Hi Doctor, I’m 13 years old and I’ve had a fever for 4 days now. Yesterday my temperature reached 101.9°F.
My symptoms are:
Constant throbbing pain in my back.
A wet cough (not dry).
A very blocked nose that makes it hard to sleep.
I’m currently taking Paracip and Cetcip as prescribed by a doctor yesterday, but the fever is still hanging on. I wanted to check if there’s anything else I should do, especially for the back pain and the nose blockage.

A 4-day fever with significant respiratory symptoms like a wet cough and blocked nose in a teenager suggests a viral or bacterial respiratory tract infection. The 'throbbing back pain' you are experiencing is likely Myalgia (muscle pain) caused by the systemic inflammatory response to the fever. While you are already on Paracip and Cetcip, additional supportive care is needed to manage the congestion and body aches

Looks like a viral upper respiratory infection, which can take 7 days to settle. Continue Paracip for fever and Cetcip. For back pain, warm compress and adequate hydration will help. For nose block, you can use saline nasal drops steam inhalation.
If fever is beyond 5 days, becomes very high, or breathing difficulty develops, do get re evaluated.

You have upper respiratory tract infection which is normal in this season. Continue taking what you are taking already. Add nasivion nasal drops, to be put in both the nostrils 2 drops twice a day in lying down position followed by stream of plain water.
You should add extra raw salt to your food like in curd, salad etc so that your secretions get thin and coughing becomes less painful. For your Backache, since you have not specified which part of the back, I assume it's upper back and could be due to coughing. You may apply Vicks there. If the back pain does not subside in another two days, get am X ray chest to rule out lower respiratory chest infection.
Drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, nimbu Pani, etc.
Next Steps
Add Nasivion nasal drops immediately with steam along with increased raw salt and plenty of fluids
Thank you for explaining symptoms based on your symptoms It looks like a viral upper respiratory infection like flu and back pain is due to fever and infection. These symptoms can last up to 7-10 days
Next Steps
continue treatment and take proper rest with plenty of fluids and steam inhalation 2-3 times a day and saline nasal drop 1-1 each nostril for block nose.
Health Tips
if fever is not reducing after 10 days, or if you start feeling like Difficulty breathing Severe cough or chest pain Very high fever (>102°F) Weakness or vomiting Then you should visit a doctor again. You may need examination and possibly tests like blood test or chest check-up to rule out bacterial infection.
