How harmful is Lysol spray?
My mother is a germaphobe and when she washes the dishes sometimes she sprays Lysol on spoons, forks and plates. She then washes them with soap to rinse of the spray but I still feel like it's dangerous. I'd like a doctor's opinion and to know what could happen if she continues to do this

It is dangerous if not cleaned  properly. Lysol is surface disinfectant. it's better to use only for hard surfaces like sink, tiles, walls and buckets. Your mother's condition may be obsessive compulsive disorder ( OCD) which can be treated with medication and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Consult me for further details Regards Dr P Uday Kiran.
