Usually diarrhoea can be followed by constipation,  as intestinal motility can be reduced by treatment. Just take isapgol husk 4 tbsf with hot water or milk after dinner.

Hello. I have reviewed your concern regarding the constipation and gas you are experiencing after your treatment for diarrhea. It is actually quite common to experience a period of constipation and gas after taking medications like Oflox OZ and Metrogyl. These medicines work to stop the infection, but they can also slow down your digestive system and change the balance of bacteria in your gut. Immediate Recommendations Hydration: Ensure you are drinking at least 2–3 liters of water a day. This helps your digestive system recover and softens the stool. Probiotics: Consider adding natural probiotics to your diet, such as fresh curd (yogurt) or buttermilk, to help restore the healthy bacteria in your gut. Fiber Intake: Gradually increase your intake of fiber-rich foods like fruits and green vegetables to help move your bowels naturally. Next Steps Wait and Observe: This usually resolves on its own within a few days as the medication leaves your system. Consultation: If the constipation persists for more than 4–5 days, or if you develop severe abdominal pain, bloating, or vomiting, please consult a General Practitioner.

It is a common clinical paradox to experience constipation after treating diarrhea with potent antibiotics like Oflox-OZ and Metrogyl. These medications are highly effective at clearing pathogens, but they also significantly deplete the 'good' gut flora (microbiome). This disruption slows down intestinal motility and causes gas buildup as the digestive system struggles to process fiber and nutrients without its usual bacterial support
Next Steps
Probiotic Re-seeding: This is the most critical step. Start a high-quality probiotic sachet or capsule (containing Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) for 7–10 days to help restore your gut's natural balance. Fiber & Flluid Synergy: Increase your fiber intake. However, fiber only works if you drink enough water (3 liters/day); otherwise, it can actually worsen the gas and constipation. Natural Fermentation: Incorporate natural probiotics like fresh curd (dahi) or buttermilk into every meal. These are gentle on the stomach and help soothe the intestinal lining. Symptomatic Relief: ,APPI like Pantoprazole DSR can help manage the excess gas and acidity while your gut recovers. Mandatory Consultation: If you develop severe abdominal pain, a fever, or if the constipation persists for more than 4 days despite these changes, a formal clinical consultation is mandatory. We need to ensure there is no 'rebound' infection or ileus
Health Tips
your gut just needs to find its rhythm again after the 'storm' of the infection and the antibiotics. .....Book a consultation if the bloating doesn't improve within 3 days so we can adjust your recovery plan and ensure your digestion returns to normal....
