Yes symptomatic fever could be relieved by paracetamol, but if you are having cold and cough for a month and already on antibiotics , you may not overdose and misuse the antibiotics and do intermittent steam inhalation , it helps in nose congestion and dryness .

Dose:
1. Take 650 mg, up to 4 times a day if needed.
Keep at least 6 hours gap between doses.
Do not take more than 4 tablets (2600 mg) in 24 hours.
2. You may also do steam inhalation for symptomatic relief.
3. Continue your other regular medications as already prescribed.
Health Tips
⚠️ Consult a doctor if:
1. Fever lasts more than 2–3 days
2. Fever is associated with chills
3. You develop any rash
4. Symptoms are worsening instead of improving
5. You develop wheezing or breathlessness (seek care immediately)
Avoid taking other medicines that also contain paracetamol. If you have liver disease, consult a doctor before using it.
Yes, you can safely take paracetamol along with Doxolin 200, pantoprazole, Cleair tablets, and Lupituss syrup.
There is no harmful interaction between paracetamol and these medicines.
Your fever is likely due to:
• Ongoing respiratory infection
• Viral illness superimposed on cold/cough
• Inflammation after prolonged symptoms
Paracetamol is appropriate for fever and body ache in this situation.
Next Steps
• Take Paracetamol 500–650 mg, every 6–8 hours if fever ≥100°F
• Do not exceed 3,000 mg/day
• Continue other medicines as prescribed
• Monitor:
• Fever pattern
• Breathing difficulty
• Worsening cough or chest pain
Health Tips
• Drink warm fluids frequently
• Steam inhalation 1–2 times daily
• Avoid cold drinks and smoking
• Rest well — prolonged cough needs recovery time
• Don’t mix multiple fever medicines together
Taking paracetamol now is safe and appropriate. If the fever settles, that’s a good sign.
If symptoms persist, a follow-up may be needed to rule out chest infection or sinusitis.
