It could be simple acidity or GERD related. If the duration is more then contact some doctor for further evaluation.
Next Steps
I would not suggest OTC drugs but if you are taking it and it has not been helpful then kindly consult a doctor ASAP.

Frequent cold, throat congestion, chest congestion, nausea/vomiting sensation and excessive gas can occur due to viral infection, allergy, sinusitis, acid reflux (GERD) or gastritis. Since symptoms are recurrent, a proper clinical examination is needed before starting medicines. Meanwhile, take adequate fluids, warm water gargles, avoid cold/oily/spicy foods and maintain regular meals. If fever, breathing difficulty, persistent cough, weight loss or severe vomiting is present, seek medical evaluation urgently.
Next Steps
Please consult a General Physician/ENT specialist for detailed history and examination. Share duration of symptoms, fever status, cough, smoking history, acidity symptoms and any medicines already taken.
Health Tips
Recurrent throat and chest congestion with gas and nausea may be related to acidity/GERD. Avoid late-night meals, tea/coffee in excess, smoking and alcohol. Do not start antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription.
