The symptoms described suggest significant problems with attention, concentration, and excessive internal dialogue/daydreaming. Possibilities that should be considered include: ADHD (predominantly inattentive type or combined type) – difficulty sustaining attention, mind wandering, losing focus during lectures and tests, mental restlessness, poor listening despite effort. Maladaptive Daydreaming – prolonged self-talk, pacing for hours, becoming absorbed in imagined scenarios, leading to functional impairment. Obsessive rumination/anxiety-related overthinking – repetitive thoughts that are difficult to stop. Less commonly, mood disorders or other psychiatric conditions may contribute, depending on associated symptoms. The key point is that this is causing marked impairment in studies, social life, and daily functioning, so a detailed assessment by a psychiatrist is required For consultation, u can directly msg on nine nine three one zero four five zero zero eight.
