Hello, To address your concern, No it won't affect your kids. Secondly there are treatment options for your father to minimize the dead skin as much as possible but keep applying emolients and do not pull the loose skin out.

Hi there... At the outset, my best wishes to your father for a speedy and complete remission and recovery 🙏 No...the 'dead skin' or shedding of skin should not have any bearing on your 3 yr old son...unless there is some underlying viral infection that is not mentioned. As long as basic hygiene is followed...wash hands before meals etc, there is nothing to fear in my humble opinion. For a more detailed information and discussions, do feel free to connect via this App's INSTANT ONLINE Consultation 🙏 Good luck 🍀 and Godspeed 🙏

Detailed history and clear images are required for correct diagnosis and treatment. If it is because of therepy, it won't spread . But if it is infection, there is a chance.
