Can be just bacterial infection ( folliculitis, faruncle)
For it to be called hidradenitis suppurativa....it has to recur at least twice in 6 months....occurs on both sides - axilla, groin and perineum and the lesions include not only pus filled lesions but also sinuses and fistulae
