My father needs a councelling for de-addiction of alcohol. As consumption of alcohol makes him very violent and I'm not able to control his actions. He realises his mistakes only when he is sober. He has finally come to a decision to quit drinking and to get through a de-addiction program. So I kindly request to allot him a counselling for de-addiction of alcohol.

We need to discuss in detail about what is causing him to take alcohol. He may have to stay in a deaddiction center and counseling would be a part of that program. I am an online counselor and an internationally certified NLP practitioner. You can connect with me .
May be you need to put him into a rehabilitation center for alcohol deaddiction or may be get him treated by a psychiatrist who is attached with a psychiatric nursing home or a hospital having provisions for admissions. His condition needs to be medically supervised and monitored by trained practitioners/ clinicians to tackle withdrawal symptoms as well which family members might not be able to tackle solely (since you mentioned violent behavior as well). Hence, only counseling might not help , which ofcourse is an integral part of the entire programme. If you are in Chennai you can contact Psychiatric Dept, CMC Vellore.
