Therapy for help with Porn addiction
Hi, I’m looking for a non-judgmental psychologist to help me manage and overcome porn and masturbation addiction. I’ve been struggling with this for a while and I’m ready to make a serious effort to change. Ideally, I’d like someone with experience in behavioral or addiction therapy, who can also be an accountability partner or help me build a sustainable support structure. I’m open to online or in-person sessions, and I really value compassion, patience, and practical guidance. If you specialize in this area or can point me in the right direction, I’d be grateful.

Hi Hi, thank you for your brave and honest message—acknowledging the problem and seeking help is the strongest first step in recovery. Porn and masturbation addiction often carry a lot of shame and secrecy, which only deepens the cycle, but you are not alone, and there is absolutely no judgment here. What you’re describing is very treatable with the right approach—especially through CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), habit-replacement strategies, and impulse-control training. Therapy focuses on identifying triggers, restructuring thought patterns, and setting up sustainable systems like accountability and support to help you break the cycle. I do work with individuals struggling with behavioral addictions like this, and our sessions will always be rooted in compassion, privacy, and progress at your pace. Together, we can create a step-by-step plan to understand the deeper emotional drivers of this habit and start replacing it with healthier ways to cope. Whether you’re looking for online sessions or in-person support, you’re already on the path to change. Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.

Hi, It's great to hear that you're ready to take steps toward managing and overcoming your challenges with porn and masturbation addiction. Seeking support from a non-judgmental psychologist can make a significant difference in your journey. Look for mental health professionals who specialise in behavioural therapy or addiction therapy, as they often employ evidence-based approaches tailored to address such issues. Websites like Psychology Today, TherapyDen, or GoodTherapy can help you find licensed therapists with relevant expertise, filtering for those who emphasise compassion and a supportive environment. Additionally, consider contacting therapists to discuss their experience with addiction and how they can serve as accountability partners in your recovery. Online therapy options can offer flexibility and access to a broader range of professionals, while in-person sessions might provide a stronger personal connection. Whichever route you choose, having practical guidance and a supportive therapist will be vital in building a sustainable support structure for your journey toward recovery.

Hi, First of all I’d like to appreciate you for being so honest and open about your struggle. You have already taken the first step towards it, so with your will power nothing is impossible. You will need CBT, along with understanding your behaviour patterns and delve deeper to understand the needs that triggers you to indulge in porn and masturbation. However, since you are willing to work towards it, it will be easier to work towards helping you out.
Next Steps
Looking for a clinical psychologist might be the first step, however if you find a counselling psychologist who can support you with it then also it’s ok
