I got covid positive and taking medicines from past 6 days , fever was around 102 starting two days , again 6th day fever is around 99.3, I have been told to do CT SCAN my doubt is whether CT scan is dangerous and has side effects like cancer etc pls clarify, I am 31 yrs old

CT scan uses some amount of radiation to take a clear photo of Lung, but it doesn't cause cancer in single dose. Now ct scan is required to see the severity of lung infection & plan your treatment.

No if your doctor has asked you to get a ct done , go for it . It doesn’t cause any severe side effects in one exposure . For further queries take a consultation with a doctor.

You should get a CT scan if you have respiratory problems. If not then dont go for it. Also you can take calpol upto 4 times a day for your fever
