The doctor must have asked for many other investigations. Please share those reports too. Also mention all the medicines you are taking.             Keep a record of the BP morning and evening for six weeks

Report shows kidneys are normal in size and structure, which is reassuring. There are mild borderline changes in renal artery flow, sometimes seen with high BP and may need further evaluation if BP is not controlled. Continue BP treatment and regular monitoring. Please consult me if you want proper guidance after reviewing the full report.

Hello. Based on the renal Doppler report, both kidneys appear normal in size and structure, which is reassuring. The blood flow in the renal arteries is mostly normal, but there are borderline changes that may suggest mild narrowing of the kidney arteries. This is not a confirmed diagnosis and can sometimes be related to blood pressure changes. Usually doctors advise regular BP monitoring, continuing medicines, and basic kidney tests. Since management depends on BP readings and reports, a detailed review would be helpful. You may book an online consultation for proper evaluation and personalized treatment guidance.

Hello.the report you have sent is the renal doppler which is a screening test not a confirmatory test It is showing mild form of bilateral renal artery stenosis which means the blood supply to both kidneys have reduced which in turn leads to high bp. If she was already a hypertensive.what are the medications she was on? Im suggesting to stop certain group of drugs like ACE INHIBITORS or ANGIOTENSIN RECEPTOR BLOCKERS because they will increase the bp
Next Steps
Confirmatory scan: CT RENAL ANGIOGRAM
Health Tips
Avoid the above drugs untill the CT RENAL ANGIOGRAM

The report is satisfactory provided the RFT blood tests are fine. Needs medications for blood pressure. Needs checking for diabetes and high cholesterol along with medications if indicated. All the best. www.jgsr-health-education.in

I reviewed the renal Doppler (CDFI renal arteries) report you shared. Key points from the report: • Both kidneys are normal in size and echogenicity → this is reassuring and means there is no structural kidney damage. • Renal arteries show normal overall blood flow pattern, but there are: • Borderline elevated RI (Resistive Index) • Mildly elevated AT and AI • Reduced velocity with slow upstroke pattern in segmental arteries Because of these findings, the report mentions possible suggestion of Renal Artery Stenosis, which means mild narrowing of the arteries supplying the kidneys. This can sometimes contribute to Hypertension (high blood pressure). However, in your mother’s case the report says “borderline”, which means it is not a confirmed diagnosis and may simply reflect early vascular changes or BP-related effects. Overall: • Kidneys themselves look healthy. • The Doppler shows mild suspicious findings but nothing severe or urgent.
Next Steps
Your mother’s doctor may advise the following depending on her BP control: • Continue regular blood pressure medication and monitor BP at home. • Do basic blood tests if not already done: • Serum Creatinine Test • Kidney Function Test • If BP is very difficult to control or remains high despite medicines, doctors may suggest more definitive imaging such as: • CT Renal Angiography • MR Angiography But in many patients with borderline Doppler findings, no further testing is immediately required if BP becomes well controlled with medicines.
Health Tips
For better BP and kidney health: • Reduce salt intake (160/100), swelling in legs, reduced urine, or persistent headaches. If you want, you can also share her BP readings, age, and current BP medications, and I can help you understand whether this Doppler finding is clinically significant or just incidental. You can also book an online consultation for a more detailed review of her reports and BP management plan.

Control BP with antihypertensives (ACE inhibitors/ARBs, calcium channel blockers). Regular blood pressure monitoring. • Low-salt diet and lifestyle modification. • If BP uncontrolled or kidney function worsens → renal artery angioplasty with stenting may be needed. • Consult a nephrologist for proper evaluation and management
