To monitor blood pressure at home, use an automated upper arm blood pressure monitor, taking readings at the same time each day, sitting comfortably with your back straight, feet on the floor, and arm at heart level, and record the results 2-3 times a day for a week to share with your healthcare provider.

To determine if you have high blood pressure, monitor your BP at home twice daily for 7 days and record the readings. Restlessness and occipital headaches may indicate hypertension, but a proper diagnosis requires consistent readings above 140/90 mmHg. Stress from conditions like cervicobrachial neuralgia can contribute to BP spikes, so managing pain and stress is crucial. Focus on lifestyle changes: reduce salt intake, stay active, maintain hydration, and practice relaxation techniques like yoga. Avoid abrupt discontinuation of medications. A holistic approach to pain, posture, and stress management can help improve overall health.
