You can record your bp readings at home using a upper arm digital bp apparatus twice morning and evening daily for a few days . When you are measuring the bp don't consider the first reading  as it remains high.sit upright with your legs uncrossed and cuff at heart level. During monitoring ,if your BP  remains high above 135/85 on different days ,consider you have increased BP. You could start salt restrictions, use fresh fruits and vegetables, exercise regularly for 30 minutes a day will definitely help.

You should have a BP instrument at home and get it checked every morning for one week. You should consult a General Physician with the recording.

Systolic pressure under 130 and Diastolic pressure under 90 is considered normal. Just get involved in some physical activity and salt restricted diet will help to maintain your BP
