**Dear Patient,**  Your symptoms of **black stool (melena) and visible blood** are concerning and require immediate medical attention. This could indicate **gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding**, which may stem from various causes, including ulcers, gastritis, hemorrhoids, or more serious conditions like esophageal varices or tumors.  Urgent Recommendations:**  1. **Seek Immediate Medical Care:**     - Black stool + blood = **potential upper GI bleed** (stomach/duodenum).     - Blood in stool (bright red) may suggest **lower GI bleed** (hemorrhoids, fissures, colitis).  2. Diagnostic Tests Needed:**     - Stool test** for occult blood.     - **Complete blood count (CBC)** to check for anemia.     - **Endoscopy/colonoscopy** to locate the bleeding source.  3. **Do NOT Ignore:**     - Dizziness, fatigue, or rapid heart rate (signs of significant blood loss).  4. **Flu Connection?**     - Unlikely related unless you’re taking NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen for flu), which can cause stomach ulcers.  Why Consultation is Critical:**  - Delaying evaluation risks **life-threatening complications** (e.g., severe anemia, shock).  - I specialize in GI disorders and can provide **urgent scoping/treatment**.  Contact me immediately on WhatsApp:**  **Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two**

Stool test  for occult blood.  Related to gastrointestinal tract, not  to flu.   You need a local examination by proctoscopy in opd by general surgeon  to rule  out piles or internal bleeding  which have lots of reason.

Black stool with blood can indicate gastrointestinal bleeding, usually from the upper digestive tract, such as the stomach, esophagus, or small intestine. Common causes include peptic ulcers, gastritis (due to infection, NSAIDs, or alcohol), and esophageal varices, which are more common in liver disease. The flu is not directly related, but infections or fever can sometimes worsen gastritis. If the bleeding continues or is accompanied by dizziness or weakness, urgent medical attention is needed. Avoid NSAIDs, alcohol, and spicy foods, and consider tests like a stool occult blood test or endoscopy to determine the cause. 📞 For consultation, connect with me on Practo for video consultations.
