At 7 months postpartum, this is not just pregnancy pain anymore — it needs proper management. You can paracetamol, but Paracetamol alone may not control severe disc pain.

You can take Calpol or Dolo while breastfeeding. Take your Calcium, Iron and Vitamin D supplements regularly. Start yoga or strength training exercises after consulting a orthopedic doctor. Hot water fomentation will also help with the pain. Take care

I suggest proper exercises and stretching. Do continue the medication, but the pain in back is due to the certain posture acquired during the pregnancy. Stretching exercises are must

If you had recieved any anaesthetic during your delivery, this might have come as a side effect! Consult a physician nearby and maybe get imaging done. Don’t go for therapies with no proven results.

Yes, you can take CALPOL or dolo, however that may not relieve your back pain. Severe Back pain in this age group needs to be carefully examined as it may be due to degenerative spine or slipped disc. For further information, kindly consult with me at 9999 x 104 x 408. Back pain is common after delivery, especially if it was present before pregnancy. It can increase due to muscle strain, posture issues, and carrying the baby. You can safely take Calpol or Dolo (paracetamol) for pain while breastfeeding. It is safe for the baby when taken in normal doses. Avoid strong painkillers without doctor advice. Along with medicines, try: • Proper posture while feeding • Back support while sitting • Gentle exercises and stretching • Avoid lifting heavy weight If pain is severe or not improving, please consult for further evaluation and treatment.

Your history suggests: • Back pain before pregnancy (likely mechanical or disc-related at L4–L5 level — commonly confused as “14–15”) • Pain worsened during pregnancy • Now 7 months postpartum • Severe back pain persists • You are breastfeeding This is most likely: • Mechanical low back pain • Core muscle weakness after pregnancy • Postural strain (breastfeeding posture, lifting baby) • Possible sacroiliac joint strain This is very common after delivery. Regarding medicine: ✔ Paracetamol (Calpol / Dolo 650) is SAFE during breastfeeding. It passes in very minimal amount into breast milk. So yes, you can take it.
Next Steps
For pain relief now: ✔ Paracetamol 500–650 mg up to 3 times daily (after food) ✔ Hot fomentation 15–20 minutes ✔ Use lumbar support while sitting ✔ Avoid bending forward suddenly If pain is severe: ✔ Short course of Ibuprofen may be considered (generally safe in breastfeeding) But avoid without doctor advice if you have gastritis. Important long-term step: ✔ Start postnatal core strengthening exercises ✔ Pelvic floor + lower back strengthening ✔ Physiotherapy is more effective than acupuncture If pain radiates to leg / numbness / tingling → needs evaluation.
Health Tips
✔ Sit straight while feeding baby (use pillow support) ✔ Avoid lifting baby from floor by bending ✔ Sleep on firm mattress ✔ Start gradual back strengthening ✔ Maintain adequate Vitamin D & calcium Pain persisting 7 months postpartum suggests muscle weakness more than inflammation. You can safely take Calpol/Dolo for symptomatic relief while breastfeeding, but strengthening therapy is the real solution. If you tell me: • Is pain radiating to leg? • Is there stiffness in morning? • Any numbness? I can guide whether this is simple mechanical pain or disc-related. Booking an online consultation will allow proper postpartum spine assessment and a safe pain-management plan compatible with breastfeeding.

Yes, you can safely take CALPOL or Dolo (both are paracetamol/acetaminophen) for your back pain while breastfeeding. These are considered first-choice painkillers during breastfeeding by major health authorities. Only very small amounts pass into breast milk — far less than what a baby gets if given paracetamol directly No harmful effects have been reported in breastfed babies when taken at normal adult doses, and it has been used safely for decades
