Baby loosing weight
My baby is 7 months old. My baby was born underweight 2.1 kgs but he gradually gained. He was 7 kgs on completion day of 6 months. Previously i was giving him enfamil a+ from birth but I had to start nan pro 2 after 6 months as enfamil is not available due to lockdown in my area. On completion of 7 mnths my baby weighed 6.7 kgs, I'm worried. He is refusing milk and food. He is active.... no illness. Why did he loose weight? Is it because of nan pro or he has not been taking feeds properly. Pls help

Considering birth weight and weight at 7 month  is very good. As you said child is active and no illness we have to monitor  the child why child loses 300 grams. I advised to start complementary feed apart from nan pro, give at least one katori serving at a time of mashed roti/bread mixed in dal with added ghee/ oil  or khichri with added oil or ghee. Initially in diluted form and slowly thicken it over the weeks. Offer banana, cheeku, mango or papaya etc as snacks. Don't try all foods at a time. Try a new food once in 3 to 5 days. Almost all formula feeds are same, advised to use in small quantities.
Next Steps
monitor weight weekly, if still decrease weight better to consult doctor for not gaining weight.

Changing the formula might would be a change of taste for the baby. I suggest u start top feeding ie fruits lik banana, boiled potatos, products dense in calories lik ghee rice and dal. Introduce one at a time and let baby adapt. Gradualy decrease the amount of milk feeds and increase top food. It wil help the baby gain weight.

Considering birth weight and weight at 6months baby is doing very well. There is no need of worry in chnaging formula feed. Usually babies grow every month 1kg first 3months followed by half kg every month. Starting giving complimentary feeding Home made cerealc with added ghee or Readily available one Start rice with ghee or smashed pottato. Once baby starts taking solid food u can add a fruit like banana or apple puree as snack
Next Steps
introduce new food only one at a time.
