Low weight gain premature baby
My baby was born on 13th feb 20206, 6 weeks earlier than expected and her birth weight was 1.52kgs. She is almost 3 months now (corrected age 1.5months) and her weight is 3kgs. She was also recently diagnosed with laryngomalacia. I wanted to check if the weight gain is normal by 3rd month? She is on combination feeding. She is otherwise an active baby and has started to pass smile and respond to callings but there are hours during the day where she cries excessively.

Weight gain is satisfactory as per corrected age. Preterm babies are assessed differently. Continue feeding well and monitor weight regularly. No major concern currently.

Hello, She is absolutely gaining weight in the right pattern. Usually weight doubles at around 4months. But for a preterm baby the growth rate is different as compared to a normal full term baby. So 3kgs which is double her birth weight is great. Other developmental milestones which you said are also on par with the age 1) Social smile- occurs at 2months which she is able to do 2) Responding when called.
Next Steps
Regarding excessive cry this is the where they start developing colic 1) so try burping her post feed 2) Give white noise which you can find in you tube 3) start using colic aid drops Thank you

Greetings Your baby's weight gain from 1.52kg to 3kg in nearly three months is a positive sign, as doubling birth weight in this timeframe is generally healthy for many premature infants. While this progress is encouraging, it is essential to have her growth tracked on a specialized premature infant growth chart by a pediatrician to ensure she is meeting her specific developmental milestones. Laryngomalacia can sometimes make feeding more tiring, which can occasionally impact long-term weight gain, so monitoring her intake during combination feeding is important. The excessive crying could be related to her diagnosis, normal developmental phases like colic, or other factors such as reflux. You should discuss these crying episodes and her exact growth curve with your doctor to rule out any underlying discomfort

Weight gain is good. And she is achieving milestones well..Now no need to calculate age by corrected gestation.Just follow routine care you are already giving and watch on milestone development.
